The Joint RCMP Advisory Board provides advice to the Town of Digby and the Municipality of Digby on matters related to policing, public safety, crime prevention, and the maintenance of law and order within the community.
The Board works collaboratively with both Councils and the local RCMP detachment to identify policing priorities, establish goals and objectives for police services, and strengthen communication between residents and law enforcement.
Membership includes the local RCMP Staff Sergeant, municipal staff, two elected officials, and two citizen representatives from each municipal unit.
The Board meets quarterly to discuss community safety issues and policing initiatives.
