The Town of Digby is seeking a Grant Coordinator. The position of Grant Coordinator is a Full time permanent - Initial 1 year contract (renewable) providing a wide range of support, research, and administrative services to the CAO, Executive Assistant, and Council, in accordance with statutory and regulatory guidelines, Town by-laws and policies as directed by the CAO. Under the direction of the CAO the Grant Coordinator provides leadership and guidance in identifying, securing, and managing funding opportunities for municipal strategic priorities and initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders and staff. The Grant Coordinator works closely with other municipal staff to understand municipal priorities and develops relationships with external administrators to facilitate the award and reporting of external funding.
The Grant Coordinator shall be responsible for performing the duties of Executive Assistant in the event of absence, and to provide administrative support to the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer as directed.
Candidates for this position must possess as a minimum, a High School diploma or GED equivalent, a degree, diploma or certificate in business administration, administrative management, or a similar educational program, or a combination of these educational requirements and lived experiences that meet requirements.
