Solid Waste Collection

WHEN - WHERE - HOW

Curbside Residential Collection is provided within town boundaries on a weekly basis.

Residential Collection Schedule

In lieu of Fall and Spring Cleanup, on each regular garbage collection week, large household items, to a maximum of 1 per residential unit, may be put out for collection, but shall not include white goods( Refrigerators, stoves, washers etc.), hazardous/toxic materials, or construction and demolition materials ( C.& D. waste).

White Goods and C.& D. waste may be picked up by arrangement with Digby Salvage & Disposal 245-4297, or can be taken to Digby Salvage & Disposals C. & D. Site 245-2657 located on the Upper Cross Road. (tipping and collection fees apply)

Yard and leaf waste must be bagged and placed curbside for collection by the Public Works Department. Please contact the Public Works Department at 245-5906 for arrangements and instructions.

Owners/Operators of institutional, commercial, and industrial operations (IC&I) are responsible for their own solid waste collection and disposal.
