 Notice  Changes to the Town of Digby Residential Solid Waste Collection Schedule  The Residential Solid Waste Collection Schedule for all residential properties located in the Town of Digby effective July 04, 2011 is as follows:  Weekly collection of Recyclables (Bluebags) every Friday.  Bi-weekly Residual Garbage Collection on every other Tuesday and Thursday starting on July 5, 2011 (Tuesday east of King Street, Thursday west of King Street including King Street)  On each Residual Garbage Collection Day large household items, to a maximum of 1 per residential unit, may be put out for collection, but shall not include white goods                (refrigerators, stoves, washers etc.), hazardous/toxic materials, or construction and demolition materials ( C.& D. waste).  Weekly Organics Collection (Green carts) every Wednesday from June 1st to September 30th starting July 6, 2011  Bi-weekly Organics Collection (Green carts) every other Wednesday starting on October 5, 2011.  The above schedule is applicable to Residential Properties only.  Owners/Operators of institutional, commercial and industrial operations (IC&I) are responsible for their own solid waste collection and disposal.   E.
